Floral Ideas

Ok, I'm really stuck on the idea of having huge flowers right now. And look I just discovered glogster! The center image is from Martha Stewart. I love love love how it looks so simple and delicate, and yet so beautiful. Mmmmm Martha, how did you get so amazing? I'm also pretty excited by the possibility of making fabric flowers! Click and hold any of the images to enlarge them . . . right on this very page!

I'm also having trouble finding a blogger template that I adore. :( All I require is simplistic elegance, with a vintage feel. Is that really too much to ask?

Really?

*sigh*
After all of that carefully, well thought out, deliberate choosing of colours, I show them to Greg and what does he say? "Those are our colours??? Where is the orange? I want sunset colours"
So I scour the internet and find this site where there is a new colour palette every Thursday. Of course Greg is a man, so I put them all into one picture for him. Or rather a word document, which consisted of these palettes with borders around each so as not to confuse him:

And because he specifically requested sunset colours I also toss in these images:

He specifically looked at this picture on my computer and said "Why can't we have those colours?"
Yeesh, who knew he'd want to be so involved in the colour selection process?

So my pallet isn't that original

I was looking at bridesmaids dresses on the Dessy website because I'm absolutely in love with this dress:

Which is cool because my sister, who will be my maid of honour also loves it. That and it's reminiscent of the 50's style we're going for. So this is definitely the style I want.

The website also had this dress:

Which I think is a little bit more expensive based on their 1-5 "diamond" scale. (Thanks a lot lol)

Anyway, as I was perusing the site, I noticed the ads at the top . . . there was my colour pallet! My choices featured a peach and a turquoise accent colour. . . which is missing from this selection but these are the pictures I found:

Hey look, there it is! I think that because of this I'm going to rearrange my pallet. I'll stick the "accent colours" onto the end of the picture. Also, my salmon-y peach hue did not transfer into jpg format very well. :( Oh hell. I'll just whip another one up in paint:

Hm. I'm liking this "dusty rose" colour more with the overall idea. :D Like I said before. I'll probably change my mind a MILLION times before August 2012!

Anywho, I'm sleepy and it's 11:30. Time for my beauty sleep.
Ta-ta for now.
